FAQs

  • Can you recolor / retouch the photos?

My packages include a Digital Download of all images taken. I do basic edits on all images like adjust the color tones, correct exposure, and horizon line correction. Special photoshop requests or extensive editing; such as, remove objects from background, sliming, blemish removal, tan-line removal, cropping, and black and white conversion is charged $10 extra, per file. The first 10 files are complimentary.

  • Can you tell me about your style as a photographer? What do you look for?

My style as a photographer is low key and relaxed. I’d say my strength as a photographer is capturing the essence of your day with truthful images. During a shoot, I stay in the moment with my couples while also giving them space to be themselves. Still, each wedding I photograph is completely different from the next because each of my couples is unique. I shoot based on feeling and I don’t always follow the “technical” rules of photography—in my opinion, a great photo is an essence and feeling captured.

  • Do you charge a travel fee?

I do not charge a travel fee for the island of Maui. However, charges apply for coverage in Maui County’s surrounding populated islands, including: Lanai and Molokai. Inquire for more details.

  • Do you work alone? Or will you bring an assistant?

Yes, I prefer to work alone. Since most of my weddings are intimate and small groups (50 people or less). I want to keep things as low key as possible. For large weddings or weddings with a lot of details, you may request to add a second photographer for $100 per hour.

  • How many images can I expect to see from my wedding or portrait session?

On average, I shoot 50-75 images per hour.

  • Is your wedding package for a full day of photos including bride preparation, ceremony, wedding party photos, and reception?

My wedding packages start at 1.5 hours of coverage—ideal for small beach weddings. I offer photography packages up to 8 hours (a full day of coverage), including bride’s “getting ready” shots, bridal party photography, reception photos and detail shots (flower arrangements, etc).
